Big Weekend!

We had another great weekend in Washington! It was a "big" weekend because we had two "big" things going on! The first was that Chris and Steph came to visit us! We were so excited to have family here with us! This was their first time in WA which made it even more fun! We were busy their entire trip here. We ate yummy food, Steph worked on my "hard"(or so I thought) puzzle, watched football, and Chris grilled on our huge grill. It was a short weekend filled with showing them the most beautiful sights of the area!
We headed up to Mt. Baker, to Artist Point and some new amazing views!

We had a windy picnic!

We saw some beautiful wildflowers on our way down from Artist Point. You can go to these areas and pick wild blueberries!

We also stopped at the Nooksack Falls.

The thing that kept us most busy was cheering Ben on in the Bellingham Bay Marathon on Sunday morning! Ben did amazing! I was and am so proud of him for all the training he did and how strong he was during the race. He got tired the last 4 miles of the race (which is called "the wall" of the marathon) but other than that I think he was really pleased with it. We were able to cheer Ben on 8 times throughout the race, it was so much fun! It rained the entire time but that didn't slow Benny down! Steph took a lot of pictures at the marathon because I was too busy cheering, so I will post more when I get those:) Thanks Stephanie!
We picked up one of our pastors/friends who was running the race too.

Chris even jumped in for a few miles!

It was a great weekend, in which we were sad and excited to see go by. We were excited because Ben had finished the marathon but we were sad to say bye to Chris and Steph. We ate a lot of yummy food and enjoyed a lot of laughs! They were such troopers during the marathon! Ben is one lucky guy!
We love you and miss you all! Happy Fall! Fall is the Wetzell's favorite season!
"What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?" Romans 8:31-32
