My View

I am home alone tonight because Benny gets to help spot at a really great football game! He was excited! So my night is consisting of a movie, cheetos, ice cream and a diet dr.pepper caffeine free! Just a few little details!

So, the point of my blog...My View.

I was walking toward our front door, and out the window, MY VIEW, looked beautiful (in my eyes)! So I walked outside and there was just something about the way the sun was setting, the light it was putting on the houses and street, the clouds over the mountains, the leaves beginning to change and the stillness that made me truly in awe of God. My mind went straight to the amazing story of God making the sun stand still. That story was so fresh in my mind because my friend Jenny(Weird thing-I had just gotten off the phone with Jenny before I looked outside) had just told me that her pastor was writing a book about Joshua's fervent prayer that God would make the sun stand still. God listened and made it happen. I believe the book is about why, we as Christ followers, don't believe in praying those types of prayers and truly believing God could make it happen. So when I saw MY VIEW, I couldn't help but think what if God made the sun stand still right now. His beauty would have to be known by everyone!

Now, my pictures won't do it justice(maybe if I had a better camera) and I know there are probably a million better pictures I have taken of the mountains and YOU may not think it is beautiful at all. But I do:) For some reason tonight, MY VIEW, looked unbelievable. God made me see that beauty so I could be reminded of Him and His pure and beautiful love. OK, I will get off my soapbox...see this is what happens when Ben leaves me alone! P.S.You have to look closely for the mountains, they are pretty cloud covered.

"On the day the LORD gave the Amorites over to Israel, Joshua said to the LORD in the presence of Israel: "O sun, stand still over Gibeon, O moon, over the Valley of Aijalon." So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies, as it is written in the Book of Jashar. The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day. There has never been a day like it before or since, a day when the LORD listened to a man. Surely the LORD was fighting for Israel!"
Joshua 10:12-14
