Quick update

"The greatest need in people's lives today is to discover the true identity of God." -R.C. Sproul
If we truly understood the character of God it would revolutionize us.

Hello All! I just wanted to write a quick hello to tell you that Ben and I are doing great! We really haven't done anything too exciting lately. It has been nice finally creating a routine and just relaxing together. We are expecting a few guests come May, so we are really excited about that! Our jobs are going well. Ben is continuing to learn more and enjoy his job more. I am continuing to love the kids at the Y while trying to keep a positive attitude about the chaos of the classroom. It is much different than what I was used in my own classroom...Oh well!

We are ready for Spring to arrive here as we know it has found MN already. While we were spoiled with beautiful weather in Jan., that weather has stayed the same. We are still enjoying 55 degrees...grrrr!

We are also still loving our church and small group. We still feel so blessed that we were placed in such a wonderful group. Ben and I just love our pastor and our sermon on Sunday was one of the best we have ever heard so I added the video if you are bored! It is about God being Omnipresent. Enjoy! And the answer is yes...he does have a ponytail! I didn't like it at all at first, but it just fits him...don't judge meanies:):)

Here are some pictures of the San Juan Islands. We went with Tom and Pam when they were here, I just hadn't gotten them up yet!

As usual, we miss you all...a lot and love you all!

"If God were small enough to be understood, then He wouldn't be big enough to be worshiped."
-Evelyn Underhill

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6

Back to my "new home"!

It was bittersweet heading back to the airport for WA. I was so excited to see Benny and it was even more fun because Tom and Pam were flying on the same flight as me to spend Easter weekend together. But it was sad for me to leave everyone again.

I know Ben was excited to see Tom and Pam...and me I guess!! We made it back to Bellingham around 10:00 that night. We were all so tired so we pretty much just went to bed.

Ben and I had so much planned for the weekend, but the weather decided to not cooperate at all. it was cold and rainy each day but we still managed to stay busy the entire weekend!

Friday morning Ben, Tom and I went for a run and and then came back to wake Pam up...Just kidding Pam! We headed down to old town Bellingham which is called Fairhaven. There are a lot of cute shops and we ate at a yummy cafe. As you will notice in some of the pictures i have an awesomely cute hat on...Tom and Pam bought that for me in Fairhaven...thanks again! I am so lucky to have the best in-laws ever!
We went to Church at night and then went to Anthony's, which is a restaurant on the ocean, it was a beautiful view.

On Saturday we drove over to a cute town called Lynden and got some treats from one of the Dutch bakeries in town. Then we headed down Chuckanut Drive which is the #1 thing to do in Bellingham. It has absolutely beautiful views. I think Pam and Tom really liked it!

Then we went to Mount Vernon to see all the beautiful tulip fields that this area is known for. We went to "Tulip Town". There was an inside part that showed you all the different kinds of tulips and then there were the amazing, beautiful, colorful fields.

Pam bought us some of those beautiful tulips to enjoy at home!

On Sunday we went to Sunrise Easter service! Church was amazing! We just love our pastor, and it was such a wonderful service! Ben and I made an Easter brunch, and we were full to the brim for the afternoon. After we ate we loaded up and headed to Anacortes on Fidalgo Island, which is where we loaded our car and ourselves for San Juan Island. The ferry ride was beautiful...and fun. We can only imagine how great the views would be if it would have been sunny. Once we got to the island we had so much fun just roaming around and exploring all the beautiful areas.
(*It is getting late and I am tired...so I will add the San Juan pictures tomorrow!)

Monday was a sad morning as Ben had to Bring Tom and Pam to the airport to head home. We had so much fun and were so thankful to have them here as our first guests.

Now it is back to the real world for Ben and I! Time to get back into routine! We love you and miss you! Thanks for reading a little about our extremely exciting lives! :)

Home Sweet Home!

I was able to spend a full week at my "old home" in Jordan last week. It was hard leaving Ben for a week but then it made it a little easier to leave MN at the end. It was such a great feeling getting off the plane in familiar surroundings. And it was even better when my mom and dad picked me up. My mom, of course, was chatty Cathy from the second they picked me up at 5:30 in the morning. I was exhausted but excited to talk the whole ride home. My week was full of goodness and busyness. We didn't relax once! I was able to spend a lot of time with my entire family, it was especially great seeing all my nieces and nephews!! They had already grown so much in 3 months, especially sweet little Macie! I also got to be with Megan and Chad, which was so refreshing! We, of course, enjoyed pizza, ice cream and tv together...the usual! I was also fortunate enough to spend time with my good friend Melissa and her little(yet oh so big) Jackson. I also got to meet Annie and Kirby's little Kendall...the cutest little thing ever! There were so many others I would have loved to spend more time with but it is just amazing how time fills up and how fast it goes. I forgot my camera for many of adventures while I was home so here are just a few wonderful memories! Miss you and Love you all so much!

These pictures aren't from my trip home, but just wanted to put up pictures of all other loved ones I hung out with! :)
