We had another great weekend! We spent time relaxing, hiking, eating and watching football. I'm sure most of you did the last 2 as well!

Saturday was a beautiful day here, it was almost 60 degrees and sunny. Although, I heard it wasn't so bad in MN either...not 60 degrees, but good enough! We spent our day outside. We started at Lake Whatcom and walked towards Whatcom Falls which is just a few miles from our house.

There is an old bridge to cross the water, it is so neat!

Then we started driving around to find a trail some friends told us about. Yes, I said friends! A couple from our small group informed us of an "easy" trail to get to a beautiful view. With it being so wet it is kind of nice to head up an easy trail because everything is so muddy during this time of the year. I wasn't super confident that we would find it, but low and behold after 20 minutes of driving around Ben led us right to the trail head of Sehome trail. I have been very impressed with Ben's directional skills since we moved here and he didn't let me down this time either!

Once we got to the top you climbed up to the top of this "tree house" looking thing for one amazing view of Bellingham and beyond.

You can see the mountains that will be used for the Olympics...Vancouver! In Ben's words, "The mountains you see are north of Vancouver in Whistler." He wanted me to point that out! :)

That is Bellingham Bay aka OCEAN!!! :)

On our way down the trail, Ben had to hold up this falling rock from rolling right over us! :)

Oofda, I'm thinking! We made it!

Not much else at the Wetzell house this weekend! As usual, thanks for reading about our not so adventurous adventures! We love you and miss you all!
